New sustainable solutions for road-marking --
Dow's FASTRACK™

Dow Coating Materials is one of the largest coatings raw materials supplier, serving the global architectural and industrial coatings markets with innovative materials and technologies that drive fundamental change in the industry. Dow Coating Materials collaborates closely with customers to develop end-use products that are faster and easier to use, resist stains, enhance air quality, offer longer-lasting protection, and use fewer natural resources.

The innovations to be presented at the European Coatings Show include the extended EVOQUE™ Pre-Composite Polymer Technology range, which is designed to increase the hiding efficiency of TiO2 in paint formulations.

In addition Dow Coating Materials will highlight its leading additives portfolio, including ACRYSOL™ Rheology Modifiers and CELLOSIZE™ Rheology Modifiers for flow and leveling adjustments, as well as OROTAN™ Dispersants designed to control dispersion and surface wetting. It will also present its comprehensive industrial portfolio, including PRIMAL™ Binders for wood, MAINCOTE™ for general metal, its range of epoxy resins and hardeners for heavy duty coating applications and FASTRACK™ Acrylic Emulsion, a quick-set specifically designed for use in waterborne traffic marking paints.

Dow Construction Chemicals will highlight solutions that permit building material manufacturers to enhance the value they bring to applicators by formulating future-oriented products that meet evolving performance requirements. The business, which offers products based on cellulose ethers, redispersible latex powders and acrylic emulsions, will feature customized solutions to enhance efficiency, durability, mechanical properties and other critical requirements for product applications such as gypsum or tile adhesives.

One topic to be featured at ECS is the launch of Dow Construction Chemicals new generation of WALOCEL™ Xtra Cellulose Ether - a portfolio of products specifically designed to improve gypsum spray plasters. These new products are based on a unique technology which allows to continuously control morphology during the production of the cellulose ethers. Read more >>

We also want to share with you our latest findings on the robustness of WALOCEL™ MKW methyl cellulose for cement renders. More to come soon.

Dow Consumer & Industrial Solutions’ multifunctional neutralizer technologies provide a wide range of benefits across the coating life cycle, to both formulators and end-use customers. From processing and manufacturing to storage and application, our technologies help improve product quality and performance for lasting in-use benefits such as enhanced gloss and scrub resistance. With our network of regional customer application centers, we are able to develop and customize solutions to meet customers’ specific formulation needs.

AMP™ Multifunctional Neutralizer has long been recognized as the industry standard, providing unrivaled performance through benefits such as low odor, excellent base strength, efficient pigment dispersion and enhanced scrub resistance.

For customers looking to improve the environmental profile of their formulations, Dow also offers AEPD™ VOX 1000 Multifunctional Neutralizer for Zero and Low VOC paints. AEPD VOX 1000 offers the same proven performance of AMP, with virtually no odor and improved freeze-thaw resistance.

Other specialty additives we offer for paints and coatings include DMAMP080™, ALKATERGE™ and ZOLDINE™.
Dow Epoxy will feature its expanded line of curing agents, resins and diluents, including the new D.E.H.™ Curing Agent family, which brings formulators and end users numerous benefits to enhance performance in construction chemical applications, including:

  • Healthier indoor spaces, created through low emission curing agents
  • Extended application seasons, enabled by low temperature curing products
  • Reduced time on construction site made possible with rapid curing products
  • Increased durability through improved mechanical resistance
